Attorneys, Millionaires and me!

Are you fed up with the people who represent us in Washington? Are you fed up with the people who follow the party line and vote away our Freedoms? Are you wondering who these people are that are leading this country down the wrong path?

Do Attorneys and Millionaires come to mind? They are not necessarily bad people, but can they really relate to you and me?

As of November 2009, There were 157 Attorneys (36%) in the House and 54 in the Senate; there were 237 Millionaires (54%) in the House and 40 in the Senate.

Thomas Jefferson said, "If the present Congress errs in too much talking, how can it be otherwise in a body to which the people send one hundred and fifty lawyers, whose trade it is to question everything, yield nothing, and talk by the hour?"

We complain all the time that: the people in Washington don't listen to us, do what they want and forget about us, the ones who sent them there; that there's never anyone in Washingon that "really represents us"; that we always get the raw end of the deal! Ever wonder how they got there? We vote for them time and time again!!

Are we going to be part of the solution or part of the problem?

Do we want more Attorneys or Millionaires in Washington leading us down the road to who knows where? I say NO!! Now is the time to stand up for ourselves, shake off the status quo and bring common sense back to our country!

There is one Republican Senate candidate who is neither an ATTORNEY nor a MILLIONAIRE, who considers you family, friend and neighbor. One who knows the pain of losing a job, paying the bills and just making ends meet. That one candidate is me, Dennis Lamare.

I don't have all the answers to the problems facing this world, but I do have life experiences and common sense to take on the issues. I never take for granted the things that matter most to us; Freedom, life and the American Dream! I will always look to the Constitution to make my decisions to do what is Right for America, good for New Hampshire and keep the Trust that you put in me as your Senator.

This election, let's finally do the right thing for ourselves and for New Hampshire! The right thing is when you cast your vote, vote as if your future depends on it… because IT DOES! Vote "FOR ME", not me, Dennis per se, but say to yourself "this vote is for me!" Then, your vote for me, Dennis, will be the solution in Washington against the Attorneys and Millionaires that are the problem.

Respectfully,
Dennis

Lest we forget: Independence Day 2010

This weekend we celebrate the rights and freedoms bestowed upon us by our Creator with our families, friends and neighbors on this day every year. We revel in the freedom to come and go without question, parties are attended, parades held on Main Street and fireworks light up the night skies everywhere. There is no end to the possibilities of how to express our love of freedom.

Yet there are two brave men who cannot celebrate with us this year: They are Prisoners of War in Iraq and Afghanistan.

On Oct. 23, 2006, Spc. Ahmed K. Altaie, 41 was categorized as DUSTWUN (Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown) when individuals allegedly kidnapped him while he was visiting family in Baghdad, Iraq. He is a member of the Provincial Reconstruction Team, Baghdad. The Pentagon changed his status to missing-captured on December 11.

Bowe Robert Bergdahl (born March 28, 1986 in Sun Valley, Idaho) is a soldier in the United States Army who was captured by the Taliban in southeastern Afghanistan in June 2009. Captured July 18, 2009.

Can we fully enjoy our freedom knowing that these brave men cannot enjoy theirs while being held captive, fighting for their very lives every moment? I cannot!! As we participate in our festivities, let us remember these brave men, pray for their good health and their immediate release.

Let us all unite in one voice to bring these soldiers home. Then we can let FREEDOM ring for all.

"We love you and we believe in you. Stay strong."

Who's the real conservative in the US Senate race?

How does one reconcile boasting of being a conservative yet spend millions of dollars on a political campaign? Four of the five US Senate candidates are continuously asking for contributions to their campaigns to get their message out, for name recognition and to "be viable." Each has at least one million dollars and others have upwards of multiple millions of dollars in the bank. I thought that a "conservative" was to be frugal and spend the least amount possible to get things done! How can they say they will go to Washington to cut spending when they are out of control in their campaign spending? When does the madness end?

Just yesterday, Kelly Ayotte stated "I need your help" to fight negative ads from Paul Hodes. With approximately $1.5 million available to her to run her campaign, she is now asking the citizens of New Hampshire to dig into their pockets a little deeper to spend, spend, spend on ads. She's not alone in the quest for donations, it's a perpetual drone from all the candidates! When does the spending madness end?

It ends here!

I don't have the resources to be on tv or mail ads that will be thrown away. I am out every day in some town across the state campaigning the "old fashioned way"... meeting people, shaking their hands and looking them in the eye. This costs nothing more than gas in my tank.

I have lived my whole life here in New Hampshire and have solid NH values... I find it difficult to ask for money from anyone when I know that times are tough and money is tight for most people. I never ask for a monetary contribution, I tell people that if they want to contribute to my campaign then just "spread the word for me" and that is a contribution. I will spend what little I have in reserve to get out and meet people and ask that we work together to make an effective change in Washington.

This election is one where we need someone who walks the walk, not just talks the talk. I will be careful with my money now in the campaign and also when I get to Washington as your next Senator. I want to be your next Senator and am willing to "earn it" not buy it!

When I ask for your contribution... just "spread the word" and that will be enough for me!!
