Issues

It has been said that greatest good should be for the greatest number, but many times the greatest number turns out to be NUMBER ONE! Those in power often forget why they are there, to whom they are accountable and seemingly work for their own gratification.

It is time for me to be a voice for the common good... to stand for ALL the people of New Hampshire...and mean it!

I believe the Constitution is the law of the land and the foundation for our freedoms. I believe the Constitution is explicit and what is not there cannot be inferred. I will preserve, protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, both domestic and foreign.

America is going through tough times and tough measures must be taken to defend our freedoms, our liberties and our future! The Government is controlling more areas of our lives (transportation, education, mortgages, etc..) than ever before and our personal sovereignty is eroding before our eyes. We must return to a strong economy, a strong defense and restore our National Honor.

To that end, I have developed a five point plan that:

1) Economy

will create a business friendly environment by easing loan criteria at banks, collateralize short term interest free loans to small businesses to expand, hire and manufacture products. Lower corporate and personal taxes, eliminate Government Sponsored Enterprises such as the Federal Reserve, FDIC, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and eliminate subsidies to all industries.

2) Immigration

will heartily embrace those willing to follow the laws, apply for citizenship and contribute to making America a better place. We cannot reward those who trespass the borders! I will not support amnesty or give benefit to those who break our laws. I propose we reduce our military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan to minimal levels and place our troops on the Mexican border. Let's secure the border first, then work to remove those who are here unlawfully.

3) Afghanistan

will leave Afghanistan in the near future. Being in Afghanistan nine years without a coherent exit plan is inexcusable. It is impossible to form a universal plan of action dealing with fractional, corrupt tribal units with no allegiance to the National Government. We must change the Rules of Engagement, train Afghan troops, gather verifiable intelligence and prepare an exit strategy.

4) Health Care

will state that the quality of Care in America is not the issue. The problem is paying for it. Repealing the Health Care Bill is a statistical improbability having less than the required 67 votes required to override a Veto. I will start the process to defund and/or remove parts of it and begin debate to fulfill our commitment to those who have pre-existing conditions and who, by no fault of their own, cannot obtain insurance in the private sector. Tort reform is necessary to lower malpractice insurance costs to care providers. I favor eliminating Insurance anti-trust protections.

5) Prisoners of War

will restore the honor and classification of POW/MIA, from the current "Duty Status Missing/Whereabouts Unknown," to those who are not with us today. We have two brave men who are held captive today, Pfc Bowe Bergdahl in Afghanistan and USAR Ahmed Altaie in Iraq. My duty to them is to do everything within the powers of the United States to bring them home safely.

I do not have all the answers to the problems facing this world, but I do have life experiences and common sense to take on the issues. I never take for granted the things that matter to us; Freedom, Security and the American Dream! I will look to the Constitution to make my decisions to do what is Right for America, good for New Hampshire and keep the Trust that you put in me as your Senator.

This election, vote as if your future depends on it - because it does. Your vote for me, Dennis, will be the solution in Washington that we looking for.

Abortion

I will give support for a woman or family to decide for themselves. I believe that the Constitution does not allow Congress to intrude in the personal lives of the people. As a Senator, abortion or other "personal rights" will never come up for a vote. They are not in the enumerated powers given to Congress. That right is left to the States and the people to decide.

Therefore, I do consider pro-choice to include pro-life, as that is a choice of the person, family and others to have available to make a decision that is right for them.
